Results from 4/1/17 --Louisiana Derby - Florida Derby - Late Gulf. pk 4

The Handicappers had a strong performance to start the month of April and nailed down both Kentucky Derby prep races and the Gulfstream late pick 4. 
It was raining exactas, trifectas and superfectas as well for the fellas. let's see how they did: 

Scott, Paul and Archie gave you the Louisiana Derby winner GIRVIN plus the exacta and trifecta with their picks and Archie went one step further and called the superfecta. 

In the Florida Derby, they were all on board with winner ALWAYS DREAMING as well as the exacta and trifecta! Once again, Arch took one step further and lined out the superfecta.  

Here's the individual stats: 


SCOTT had 20 runners break from the gate in the five races and 11 of those paid the bettors. He had (5) winners, (3) seconds and (3) thirds. Give the man three exactas and two trifectas as well. His bet best and value play came up a little short but his top jock of the sequence (Leparoux) won a race. A solid 46 points on the day for the pool shark. 


PAULIE also had 20 horses try the tracks and 13 of those were featured on the tote board. (Since the best possible is 15...that's not too darn bad!) He tallied (5) winners, (3) places and (5) thirds. Add in three exactas and three trifectas as well. His best bet of the day (Salty) won and he had Leparoux also as his top jock. His value play did not win...but your host of HANDICAPPING HEROES finished with 61 points.

ARCHIE handicapped 20 horses for us also and 12 of those were good at the teller window. (5) winners, (3) seconds and (4) shows. Three exactas, two trifectas and two superfectas. His value play (Always Dreaming) won the Florida Derby...although at 5-2, we may have to tighten up the standards on this category...he had Leparoux as well for his jockey. His best bet of the day was Salty and that was a winner also!  The grill master sweeps the big points categories and wins the day with 75 points.

In the overall points race...ARCHIE takes the lead with 158. PAULIE moves to second with 141 and SCOTT is at 137.
