The Handicappers met with big time success yesterday in their picks for the Late Pick 4 yesterday at Churchill Downs. They hit that, both Pick 3's, all four exactas, two trifectas and a superfecta in races 8-11.
Let's break it down:
SCOTT had 16 runners race for the wire. Out of them , 1o finished in the money. He had four winners, three seconds and three thirds. He provided three exactas, two trifectas, both Pick 3's and the Pick 4. His best bet of the day (Awesome Slew) won, his value play didn't and his Top Jock of the sequence (Florent Geroux) had a winner in th 8th race. SCOTT FINISHED WITH 63 POINTS.
PAULIE gave us 16 horses to consider. Seven hit the board. He had four winners. Give him two places and a show. Two exactas, a trifecta, both Pick 3's and the Pick 4 all for him. His Jock of the sequence (Corey Lanerie) won the final three races. His best bet (Awesome Slew) won but his value play didn't. PAULIE COMES IN SECOND WITH 74 POINTS
ARCHIE saw 16 break from the gate. Out of those, 10 got him paid (this is a 83% in-the-money percentage for both he and Scott...since there are only 12 possible in-the-money spots in 4 races). Count him up for four winners, four seconds and two thirds. He had four exactas, two trifectas, a superfecta, both Pick 3's and the Pick 4. His best bet (Honorable Duty) won Race 9. His value play finished third. His top jock (Corey Lanerie) won three times. ARCHIE TAKES THE DAY WITH A WHOPPING 90 POINTS.
It's getting old to say...but, once again, the Handicappers owned Churchill Downs. As Scott has told us many times...we can only try to pick winners we can't pick what they pay. WE PICK WINNERS. We give them to you free here at the site and on the radio.
CUMULATIVE TOTALS
PAULIE -- 147
ARCHIE -- 144
SCOTT -- 123
