Churchill Downs Handicapping Results from 6-17.17

The Handicappers took on the All-Stakes Pick 4 at Churchill Downs last night and ran into a slew of short prices. Nothing over 7/2 entered the winner's circle in the four race sequence. Gun Runner and Forever Unbridled took care of business...as most expected. As Scott is noted for saying, we can pick the winners but not our prices. Winners we had...let's take a look:

SCOTT gave us 16 horses to consider and out of those...seven got a tote-board listing. Three winners, three seconds and a third for the Gold Room giant. Two exactas and a Pick 3 for him as well. What hurt him was that his best bet Carrumba, value play Savannah Belle and top jock John Velazquez failed to fire. Scott ended up with 16 points on the day.

ARCHIE had 16 runners break from the gate and six of them got you paid on tickets. Two winners, two places and two shows for the Governor of Glen Oaks. He also had an exacta and got points for his best bet Gun Runner and top jock Florent Geroux. His value play Starr Bear failed to shine. Archie takes second today with 34 points.

PAULIE ventured guesses on 16 horses and seven of those performed well. He had three winners, a second and three thirds. He also had a Pick 3 in his figurings. His value play Summer Luck came up just short...but his best bet Gun Runner and top jock Florent Geroux did produce trips to the winner's circle.
Paulie takes the day narrowly with 37 points.

Between the three handicappers, they produced the Pick 4 in their selections as well as both Pick 3's in the sequence. Not huge payouts...but on a night where those big payouts weren't availablle at all...they were cashable tickets and didn't get tossed away as losers.

In the race to 500, Archie gets there first with a total of 501. Scott ends with 426 and Paulie ends with 407. Congratulations to Archie for winning the coveted Top Banana Award and a new race to 500 begins next week.
