Churchill Downs Handicapping RESULTS FROM 6/3/17
The Handicapper took on the late Pick 4 at Churchill Downs yesterday and, despite a strange final leg that featured a first-time starter beating a talented group of maiden special weights...they had some big results. Let's see how they did....
Points leader ARCHIE KAREL had 15 of his runners go to the post, having one scratch, and of those...eight returned a payout. Archie had two winners, two seconds and four thirds in the sequence...plus an exacta and trifecta. Unfortunately, he whiffed on his best bet, value play and top jock of the sequence...he finished the day with 19 points.
PAULIE also had 15 go forth and of those, five hit the board. Two winners, two places and a show...plus an exacta for the host. He did pick up points with his top jock pick...Corey Lanerie...who won twice in the four races...but his best bet and value play didn't produce. He comes in second with 33 points.
SCOTT was the big producer on the day...he had two scratches...so 14 entered the gate for him. Seven of those got him paid. Three first place finishes in his picks...plus two runner ups and and two "shows". Scott provided a trifecta, two exactas and a Pick Three with his picks. Although his value play fell short, his Best Bet (Forgive- Race 9) held on to produce a nice win at 8-1 odds and he also had Corey Lanerie as his top jock of the sequence. "Brother" Scott waltzed down the aisle with 52 points.
Pick Threes that pay a nice profit. Double digit winners. Concise handicapping that doesn't play games with you or make you pay for the service. Handicapping Heroes. The sure way to make sure your day under the Twin Spires is a profitable one.
