Recapping Pegasus World Cup Day

A nice job by Scott Harris in lining up the Pick 4 on Pegasus World Cup Day.
His selections gave us a winner in all four of the races and the Pick 4. Surviving a photo in the ninth between his #11 (Power Alert) and my #3 (Long on Value)...Scott also had Suffused (which was his best bet of the day), Taghleeb and Arrogate in his sequence. The prices may have not been exactly what he could have hoped for but he didn't have to throw the ticket away...

California Chrome just didn't have it today. It happens in horse racing...

On the day, Scott gave us 14 horses to consider over the final four races. Seven of them hit the board. He had four winners, a place and two shows. He also had the last two exactas of the day and the two Pick 3's of the sequence. His Best Bet of the Day won, as mentioned earlier and his Top Jock of the sequence...Jose Ortiz won a race also

Using our scoring system from last fall...he finished with 41 points. The wether may have been a little cold on this winter's day in Louisville but Scott was on fire Saturday.

Paulie played along and...despite his handicapping layoff...he came back OK. He lost the ninth in a photo but had the winners in the 10th and 12th races. He offered 14 horse in the four races and five hit the board. He also had an exacta. is Best Bet of the Day was Arrogate...who won easily and his Top Jockey was Mike Smith, who had a win on Arrogate. Give him 33 points on the day.

We'll be back in March for more HANDICAPPING HEROES. See you then!
